Questions and Answers

Our massage therapy Q&A section is designed to answer the most common questions you may have about massage therapy. Feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions or concerns you may have. We are here to help you get the most out of your massage therapy experience!

Q: Do I have to disrobe completely?

A: No, you only need to disrobe to the level of comfort that you prefer. Your therapist will provide draping to ensure your privacy at all times.

Q: How do I communicate if I want deeper or lighter pressure during a massage?
A: Speak up! Don't be afraid to communicate during your massage session. Let your massage therapist know if you would like deeper or lighter pressure. Your therapist will be happy to adjust the pressure to your preference.

Q: What should I do if I feel uncomfortable or body insecure during my massage?
A: It is perfectly normal to feel anxious or insecure during a massage, especially if it is your first time. Let your massage therapist know if you are feeling uncomfortable, and they can adjust their technique or provide a more relaxing atmosphere. Your massage therapist is there to help, so don't be afraid to speak up. We understand that everyone's body is different and there may be times when you feel insecure. That's why we want to assure you that we don't care about your shape or size - we provide massage therapy without judgment. We will help you to relax and feel comfortable in your body and mind. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Q: Is it okay to talk during the massage?

A: It's up to you. Some people find it relaxing to chat during a massage, while others prefer to stay quiet. Your therapist will adjust to accommodate your preferences.

Q: What should I do before my massage?

A: Drink plenty of water and avoid large meals before your massage. Wear comfortable clothing and arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment.  We will send you an intake form to fill out prior to your appointment to make check-in easy and fast.

Q: What is appropriate behavior during a massage session?
A: Respectful behavior and communication is expected during a session. Clients should remain appropriately covered and refrain from making inappropriate comments or gestures. Such behaviors will result in immediate termination of the session. We are members of Respect Massage!
